Patrick Kampmann is one of the guys behind the Twitter-account that went from number 21.558.090 to number 65 on the global ranking, that grew from 8.000 to 67.000 followers and who increased the retweets and replies from 28% to 553%. Yes, we are talking about @sweden. Kampmann is one of the co-founders and partners at Volontaire in Stockholm, Sweden, and the creative genious behind the Curators of Sweden campaign. Together with VisitSweden and the Swedish Institute, Kampmann came up with the idea of having the Swedes, all nine million of them, do the tweeting from the official Swedish Twitter account. Every week, someone in Sweden is @Sweden: sole ruler of the world’s most democratic Twitter account. For seven days, he or she recommends things to do and places to see, sharing diverse opinions, and ideas along the way. After that, someone else does the same—but differently.
Curators of Sweden won the Grand Prix in the Cyber category at the Cannes Lions International festival of creativity.
It didn´t cost a lot of money, but it did take an incredible amount of bravery.
