Mike Walsh

Mike-WalshFounder & CEO of Tomorrow

Mike Walsh is back by popular demand. He is one of the most popular speakers to have spoken at Gulltaggen throughout the years, and we are very happy to announce that he is returning for our 15 years anniversary. As previous Gulltaggen participants mention, Walsh has been able to open their eyes to new patterns in consumer behavior and how this affects the growth of new business models. In April he will enlighten us on the topic Flex – Business Re-Imagined, and present some new research around what the company of the future will look like.

One of my favourite conferences, in one of my favourite countries, with some of my favourite people in the world – I can’t wait to return!, says Walsh.

Walsh is a leading international authority on consumer innovation and the digital future. He is the author of Futuretainment and the CEO of the innovation research lab, Tomorrow. Futuretainment, published by Phaidon was described by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the most highly anticipated titles of 2009.

Mike has over a decade’s experience in helping some of the world’s leading companies and brands embrace new ideas. Constantly travelling the world for the best ideas – Mike curates the most relevant insights into dynamic keynotes and innovation workshops aimed at helping audiences to not only understand but also influence the future direction of their industries.

He has devoted his career to being digital. He ran the market leading consumer insights house Jupiter Research in the Asia Pacific, and held senior strategy roles at News Corporation in both the Australian and Asian markets. Through his company Tomorrow Mike has advised the CEOs and senior management teams of companies such as the BBC, Fujifilm, AGL, the ABC, MSN, Star TV, Foxtel, Televisa, Grey Advertising, Schwarzkopf, BT Financial and HSBC.

Currently he is writing a new book that charts the rise of online consumers in these emerging markets and shows that tomorrow’s Web will be radically different to conventional Western models requiring entirely new engagement strategies. His views have appeared in a wide range of international publications including Business Week, Forbes and Wallpaper Magazine.
